The Coast Guard said a quick response helped in rescuing a man who fell into Narragansett Bay while fishing. Officials said a good Samaritan called 911 Sunday afternoon to alert authorities to the unidentified man in the water. Jamestown Fire Department used radio contact to help locate the man, and a Coast Guard boat was dispatched to rescue him. He was taken to Newport Hospital. A Coast Guard spokesman in Boston said Monday morning that the 30-year-old man had been fishing on the rocks at Fort Wetherill State Park.
