Cambridge cheers up about Obama

CAMBRIDGE — You could almost hear the collective sigh of relief go up in Central Square on Wednesday morning. It was safe to go out and smell the latte again.

Here at the exact emotional epicenter of Obamaland — that would be the dairy section at Whole Foods — came a desperately needed natural remedy. The president, just about everyone agreed, had gotten the better of his opponent, Mitt Romney, in Tuesday night’s testosterone-fest of a debate. It looked like Barack Obama might be back.

Hey Yvonne and all you Obama disciples, did you see the results of those post-debate polls asking people which candidate would better handle the economy and taxes? Landslide Romney. And wait until the next debate when Obama has to admit his Libya screwup. (Youtube video?? Really?). Better stockpile those Kleenex boxes now.

This is newsworthy? An eight year old could have written this for his/her school newspaper.

I'm amazed that an unemployed social worker can afford Starbucks.  BTW, Cantabrigian has no "D".  Do your homework.

I think this same feeling of euphoria was actually felt in the break room of the Boston Globe's headquarters on Morrrisey Boulevard.

Breaking news: Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch have suddenly realized what a disaster a Romney presidency would be and decided to set up a new SuperPAC called "We Love Barack Obama." Karl Rove may join them.

Phew, tough article to write. Yvonne had to find an Obama supporter, a Warren volunteer, an unemployed social worker, and a Starbucks, all without leaving Cambridge.

Yvonne, apparently you wrote this drivel before the post debate polls came out. Romney has extended his lead to 51 to 46.

The gap is closing quickly all over... even here in Massachusetts!  Obama will probably win Massachusetts but it is a LOT closer than anyone wants to admit... This state voted for Reagan twice!  If Obama wins Massachusetts, it will be by less than five points.  A victory is a victory but it will not be the runaway that the media insists it will be here.  And once the rest of the herd realizes the herd is voting for Romney, the gap in Massachusetts will close even more. Watch.

because Cambridge does not live in the real world.  They live in the world where a professor can make $375 thousand dollars to teach 1 course two days a week and then cry about the debt students have to go to college....common sense..cut those type of salaries.

They think it is okay to outsourse to Finland $200 million to produce electric cars...the heck with the workers needing jobs in the USA.

They think it is okay to use affirmative action (Elizabeth Warren) to get ahead

They love a president that blames everyone else for his wrong doings and cannot man up to

responsibility..took two week to admit Lybia's  Benghazi was a terrorist attack even when they knew immediately while the attack was going on...with launch rockets & aka rifles...was just a demonstration gone wrong.....even an idiot knew it was an attack and not a video...

Remember him saying to John McCain  "I won" so much for working across the aisle....let them cry into their wine glass...when Mitt Romney wins.

Initial jobless claims rose by 46,000 to 388,000 last week, up from a revised 342,000 the prior week, with the four-week average at 366,000, higher than the 365,000 seen the week before.

How about them apples Cambridge

Ms Caudillo, one debate does not a president make. Go back over the last three years and ninth months and then make an educated choice.

Ms. Abraham the Globe used to have a female reporter who claimed she wrote articles about Cambridge: SHe was fired, because she made up her stories. This story of yours also sounds like something the former Globe reporter would have submitted with her name to it.

On the day Newsweek ends its print version we read this puff piece. God help us! Please have crisis councelors spread out across Cambridge on 11/7 when we elect Mitt Romney as President.
