He blasts her as a tax addict with an insatiable appetite for higher taxes and more debt. She accuses him of holding the middle class hostage to protect millionaires and billionaires.
It is undoubtedly heated rhetoric. But when it comes to taxes, Elizabeth Warren and Senator Scott Brown are diametrically opposed.

Comments
Brown and Romney repeatedly make this false statement. “That 2 percent you’re talking about (that should be taxed higher) are people that are actually out there creating jobs,” Brown said at the last debate. “A substantial amount of . . . people are actually hired by those job creators.” When are the media going to point out that is simply not true. Brown is implying that those 2% are small businesses. They are not. 97% of small business make less that $250,000 a year. The media should call out false statements -- i.e. lies -- at the time they are made, NOT in separate fact checking articles.
97% of small business may NET less than $250k but the RATE that they pay is the SAME as the rich people's rate! Democrats, this means that if you tax rich people at a higher rate, you are also taxing small businesses that don't net much money the same RATE as the rich guy!!! And when you do that Democrats, you CRUSH new job creation! Simple, basic, economics 101 FACT! A small business may only net $40k per year but that small business will pay 50% taxes instead of 15%!!!! If you don't understand this, you shouldn't even be voting! It is that ignorance that is killing this country.
The "pigs at the trough" are people caught in the housing bubble, unemployed because inscrupulous financiers gambled with other people's money, and are taxed at an effective tax rate that is a mere pittance of their after tax take home pay. Even if their taxes on their marginal income is above 250,000 for a family and 200,000 for individuals it leaves idle cash for most. So the choice is clear either invest it in the economy and get people back to work or pay some iof t back in taxes until someone makes up their mind that they can get a better return if they invest in American workers. It is not only an eventual benefit to the better off but they may even improve their image to those that have been hurt by many of their business practices. Scott Brown ignores this reality because he now hob nobs with these overly selfish business people. His legislative record is a showcase of whom he stands for. For sure it is not the regular working stiff. Elizabeth Warren has learned what policies and business practices cause harm to people trying to live a livable life and will work to correct them if elected. Yes the choice is clear in this next election on Nov 6th. Scott Brown's Koch brothers' view of the world or those Americans who have worked hard and made this 3% rich without receiving a deserved share for their efforts so they can enjoy a livable life. This is where the rubber meets the road.
Mr Hypocrite is at it again. He does not want to formally endorse Romney but wants to also use the same 20% tax cut espoused by Romney. He decided to cut taxes to an oil company and uses that as a way to say that he can cut taxes even though he has taken the Grover pledge. Which ever way the wind blows, Scott Brown waits until it looks good for him politically and then he will act. Interesting bit about Traveles Insurance that he gave back $7000 just before he began his concerted attack on Warrens work at Travelers. If he were honest, he would tell the public that Warren did go to the Supreme court and won the fight for the people with asbestos disease. When the things changed, she was no longer working for the company. But according to Brown when the deal was over turned, "she should have know this wouldld have happen." Of course Brown, being of super intelligence, would have seen this future happening if he had been in the same situation. Interesting that he also received $6000 from Dow for his campaign as he criticizes Warren for working for Dow in the 1990's. Sorry Scott but your comments just don't ring true.
Please. Even the judge from the case was 'disgusted' when Liz and Travelers were done!! She wrecked their previously agreed settlement!!! Any conclusion to the contrary is a lie. Even the judge was disgusted! Tells you all you need to know...
user_4408549 Could you please give us the us source of where to find the info that you are quoting about the judge? As Karl Rove says, if you say something as if it were the truth enough times people will believe you. You must be on the Brown payroll you have so much knowledge about Warren.
"Brown argues that higher taxes on oil companies would be passed on to drivers in the form of higher prices at the pump and to homeowners in the form of higher home-heating costs."
This is a false argument. Not every oil company receives public tax subsidies. Those who don't would keep their prices the same and the consumer would do business with them. Free markets work.
Another false argument: Romney and Brown say they don't want to increase taxes on the wealthy "job creators", and that lowering their tax burden would stimulate growth and job creation. But Romney says over and over again that under his plan, the wealthy would pay the same taxes they do now. (I assume that Romney himself would still pay only 14%). So where is the incentive (lower taxes) to spur these "job creators". There is none. Romney speaks from all sides of his mouth and Brown tries to.
When you raise tax rates on rich people, you also raise rates at the same time on small businesses that don't net very much money. Under Democrats, a small business that nets only $40k per year would pay the same new higher RATE as a rich person! A small business netting only $40k would pay the same 50% rate as a rich person, instead of 15%!!!!! And since small businesses create all the jobs, you now understand why Democrats didn't raise taxes on the rich when they had historic vote majorities to easily do so!! It crushes jobs! Democrats like Liz Warren keep pretending that if they are just allowed to raise taxes on the rich, all of our problems will be solved. The problem is, there aren't enough rich people in this country to pay an 'extra' $6 trillion over ten years!! Taxing the rich under Democrat's plans only brings in $700 billion. That means the middle class gets to pay the 'extra' $5.3 trillion that Obama wants to spend, over and above the present budget!! Every Democrat at every level of government in this country needs to lose election or this country will REALLY be in a mess in 2014!
To User_4408549 and misinformation:
You are SO WRONG when you say, "Under Democrats, a small business that nets only $40k per year would pay the same new higher RATE as a rich person! A small business netting only $40k would pay the same 50% rate as a rich person, instead of 15%!!!!!"
Get your facts!! Business Income schedule C, Partnerships, S Corporations schedule E income are taxed as ordinary income just like wage earners W-2 income. Any of this amount under $250K will not have addtional taxes.
You are either totally ignorant of the issue or you are intentionally spreading Republican propaganda dribble.
Someone is ignorant alright... and I like how you completely re-work the lie to sound all new again...
I assume by raising taxes on upper earners she means eliminating the current rates and going back to the rates during the Clinton years. If so, the middle class will se a tax increase as well. How does she explain this away? The MC does not invest? What would be the TOTAL tax burden on everyone if her/Obama's plan is implemented?
There will be NO JOBS to speak of until SPENDING is cut! The markets that affect job creation aren't waiting to see Democrats 'increased revenues'. The markets that affect job creation are waiting to see 'spending reductions'!!!!! Until spending is reduced, you will never see any number of jobs worth speaking about. And you have been warned...
The Obama plan would raise the top two tax brackets from 33% to 36% and from 35% to 39.6%. So family income over $250K would see a 3% increase. So a small business that generates after tax profit of $300K would see an additional 3% tax on $50K which is $1500 dollars. If a small business owner sees this extra $1500 (after all employee realted expenses are deducted from receipts) as being a job killer then so be it. I remind you though that any business hires a new employer only if that employee adds to the bottom line profit. So if in the case of a $300 K business profit, if that business owner can"t make more than $1500 dollar profit (after all business deductions) then a new person shouldn't be hired. Employees add to the profit margin, if they don't, then the business owner shouldn't be one.
Furthermore, Romney and Brown say they don't want to increase taxes on the wealthy "job creators", and that lowering their tax burden would stimulate growth and job creation. This argument is negated when Romney says over and over again that under his plan, the wealthy would pay the same taxes they do now. (I assume that Romney himself would still pay only 14%). So where is the incentive (more investment capital) to spur these "job creators". There is none. Romney speaks from all sides of his mouth and Brown tries to.

“That 2 percent you’re talking about are people that are actually out there creating jobs,” Brown said at the last debate. “A substantial amount of . . . people are actually hired by those job creators.” I can't stop laughing at this! Most of those 2% that he is referring to make their money purely on investments and speculation, they are NOT the ones investing in small businesses that create jobs or in American manufacturing plants.
Warren believes we should all be taxed in sea shells and beads.
The man is a pathological liar. If he uttered a truth his tongue would probably fall out. He has signed The Grovers pledge list, that should tell you enough about him, and claims to be an Independent and votes right down Republican Lines.
