A science building at the University of Massachusetts Boston was briefly evacuated Thursday morning after the school received a bomb threat, university officials said. University public safety personnel responded to the campus’s Science Center at 11:30 a.m. after receiving a warning that a bomb had been placed in the building, said DeWayne Lehman, a university spokesman. All students, faculty, and staff left the building safely so it could be inspected by State Police and bomb-sniffing dogs, Lehman said. Around 1:35 p.m., the inspection was completed and the building was determined to be safe.
