State notifies public about sex offender

The Vermont Department of Corrections is notifying the public about a sex offender who has been released from prison and is now living in South Burlington. Officials said Calbraith MacLeod, 56, also known as Earl Tatro, was released Tuesday. The South Burlington Police Department said Calbraith is not wanted and has no restrictions on where he lives. He has multiple convictions for sexual assault and served his maximum sentence, but refused sex offender treatment in prison, so the Corrections Department has listed him as a high risk.
