A former senior administrator at Yale University is suing the Ivy League school, claiming that he was fired after more than three decades because of his age. Martin Donovan, 63, said Yale officials unfairly criticized him to justify their efforts to fire him in March 2011 after he rejected suggestions that he retire. The lawsuit filed at US District Court in New Haven says Donovan was the director of finance for the Yale Medical Group, and also was interim administrator of the department of ophthalmology at Yale Medical School. A spokesman said Yale believes the lawsuit is unjustified and will defend itself against it. (AP)
