Sandy shakes up presidential campaign strategies

Hurricane Sandy pressed the pause button Monday on a frenetic presidential campaign entering its final week, prompting President Obama and Mitt Romney to cancel rallies and raising questions about the effect of the storm on voting.

Ohio, a pivotal big state, was expected to be lashed by winds of 30 to 50 miles per hour, heavy rain, and possibly snow if the storm tracked through western Pennsylvania, as expected. Power outages were feared. That could hurt Obama’s efforts there, since they rely on a robust early voting turnout.

Romney wants to eliminate FEMA.  Imagine where we'd be without federal disaster relief during storms like Irene and Sandy.  Heck of job, Romnie!

Even though most Globe readers think Benghazi is the actor who was in the John Cassavettes films, your man Brian McQ knows the real storm is coming next week. Most of the people who read the NYT or the Globe are blissfully unaware that The One betrayed Americans being attacked on foreign soil. Brian knows, but he's not telling you cultists. I hope you can all get help when this, the worst president ever, is sent packing. Good riddance

Probably the most pressing issue facing Massachusetts and the rest of the US is the stagnant state of the US economy, and what either candidate can offer to help all of us in Massachusetts is of the most importance right now. One of Massachusetts biggest economic sectors - the Financial Services Industry is being decimated by firms like State Street Corp (STT) that under the direction of its current CEO Jay Hooley, is engaged in a Joint Venture or JV with a firm owned by INDIAN nationals called SYNTEL corp (SYNT) of TROY MI that has already sent over 3,200 good paying middle class US Job, most from Massachusetts, to INDIA, this only three years after State Street Corp received a $2 Billion US TARP bailout from the very people that this firm and its current BOARD of DIRECTORS are hurting the most. This is a NATIONAL DISGRACE and if either PRESIDENT Obama or Mitt Romney can help put an end to this "Betting Against America" I will vote for that person....
