Man struck and injured by Orange line train

A 22-year-old man was struck and injured by an Orange Line train at Malden Station Tuesday night, the MBTA said. The accident occurred at around 8:40 p.m. and the unidentified victim suffered injuries deemed not life-threatening and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, T officials said. Joe Pesaturo, spokesman for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, said the man was struck as the train slowed to make a stop at the station. About 10 people were aboard the train, he added. Service was suspended in both directions, the T said.
