Brown, Warren keep firing away in final days

US Senator Scott Brown Thursday boarded a massive blue bus emblazoned with an image of the senator in his barn jacket, setting off on a road trip to rally supporters at stops in Milford, North Grafton, Framingham, North Billerica, and Wakefield.

As Brown rode from stop to stop with a smiling band of supporters that included his wife and daughters, the family dogs (one with its leg in a cast), comedian Lenny Clarke, and US Senator Susan Collins, Republican of Maine, he continued to project his theme of bipartisanship.

The next big crisis on the horizon is the one dealing with student loans. Like the mortgage crisis of late, this is going to affect us all and it is quickly approaching! Why is Senator Brown completely silent on the issue? Why, as our Senator, has he done nothing at all to create a solution, or work with others in the Senate to create a solution, to this problem? After 12 years as a career pol, he should know how to get things done, yet he hasn't. He knows this is an issue, but he is silent. Thank goodness Elizabeth Warren has a great understanding of the problem and has solutions to solve it.

TheSystemWorked: Senator Kerry is not asking for my vote, Senator Brown is. You still didn't answer the question, and neither has Senator Brown. Telling, don't you think?!

OMIG - Genz1 - as a Democrat you ought to be asking what Obama (remember his 2008 promises) and the Democrats did for the immigrants, students and the middle class when they held the majority!!!!!

Go ahead for God's sake do your research: Senator Scott Brown was in Washington for two years and he did more than the lifetime of many Democrat members who have been traveling to Washington . . . Biden for one.

Historically this is the wrong time to send a moderate Republican to Washington from Massachusetts. The Senate desperately needs more Democrats to stem the Tea-Party extremist takeover of Congress in general. I'm sure that Brown is a great guy, I'd take him out for a beer and watch the ball game but now is not the time for Republicans. Democrats people, we need Democrats.

Surely, you jest. The only way the U.S. gets back on track is with President Mitt Romney and GOP members who will work with their colleagues. Senator Scott Brown has proven that this is his character.

You mean "work"as in carrying their water and voting with them on all of the issues that are important to their corporate overlords, then yes I agree.

Actually, Senator Scott Brown's campaign message is far more civilized than Warrens, right from the get-go. Also, the past three days, the Senator's message has been a portrayal of his work for the state - which has nothing to do with Warren.

Not sure what the Globe editors are blathering about in their article.

Furthermore, what ever happened to students working while attending university? What ever became of the idea that students should actually get a job after their Bachelor degree & work & save before applying to return to university for a Master? What ever happened to the common sense practice of getting work experience before going for the PhD???

Too many students love attending school for the sake of attending school: can't say I blame them, but get real and plan your future without expecting the government to PAY your LOANS with tax-payer money. Most of us in the middle class proceeded through the education road-map by working for it!

Cantabrigian01 :  You make it clear you know nothing about this issue and that's scary!  Sadly, it is going to affect you, me and 10's of millions of other Americans in the not so distant future.  You remember the mortgage crisis that impacted responsible people like you and me?  This is the same deal!  Senator Brown is doing what he does best, waiting for others to take the lead.  He has yet to earn my vote!  For the record, I am a registered Republican.  If Charlie Baker or William Weld was running, either would have my vote.  Sadly, there is no longer room for such truly moderate, thinking, Republicans in the party any more.  Instead we're left with Brown and Romney.
