Multiple organizations across Massachusetts, including the Red Cross, Greater Boston Food Bank, United Way, and the Archdiocese of Boston are pitching in to provide supplies and other assistance for residents of other states who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. Additionally, eight members of the state’s National Guard as well as several members of the Boston Centers for Youth and Families will travel to New York to assist with emergency shelters and distributing supplies.
