An all-day sting at several residences in Springfield on Friday led to the arrest of 10 people and the confiscation of illegal weapons, heroin, and more than $1,000 in cash, according to a statement from State Police. The operation, conducted by State Police in coordination with the Springfield Police Department and federal law enforcement, began early Friday at homes on Newland and Lowell streets and went late into the night, the statement said. The people arrested, including a 15-year-old, face numerous charges such as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of drugs and ammunition, domestic violence, escape from a detention facility, and motor vehicle theft.
