Brown, Warren temper rhetoric, stress differences

Fifteen months ago, exploring a run for the Senate, Elizabeth Warren told 60 activists at a Dorchester house party that if she had not succeeded in creating a consumer protection agency, there would have been “blood and teeth on the floor.”

The activists loved it. Here was Warren in full pugilistic mode, the full-throated voice of liberals who had watched dispiritedly as Republicans rose to power on the energy of the Tea Party. At last, they had their counterweight.

Warren will bring so much strength and intelligence to the senate.  The choice between "fluff" and "smarts" is so evident and that is why Scott Brown is going to lose.  He is so beholden to the Republican Party after all the money that the PAC's and Rove have poured into the race for him.   One could paper a wall with the material sent out every day!  It is ludicrous to get three mailings on one day touting how fantastic he is and how horrible his opponent would be as our next senator.   I hope that he has enjoyed being called Senator for the past few years because it is over.  Smile for your next job Scott.

And all of Elizabeth Warren's money came from girl scouts and grandmother's cookie jars?

No Josh, you're absolutely wrong. Brown is going to lose because Liz in a Democrat and he isn't. Simple as that.

All I know is that Brown is dreamy and Warren should be making him dinner! We will NEVER actually elect a woman to satewide office because we don't think they are capable! Brown killed terrorists while she was baking cookies!

Interesting comment!  You know, Scott Brown supports women in combat?

“Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) pledged his support for allowing women to serve in combat, denouncing any barriers to female troops performing front-line roles including infantry, armor and special operations.” (Josh Lederman, “Scott Brown pledges support for women in combat, The Hill, 3/1/2012)

The only thing Brown ever killed was the truth.  While allowing for women to serve in combat, it would have been nice if he himself had served. Ever hear of the word "volunteer?"

Now for the (long) list of character issues, things that don't magically go away after the election ...

Terrible sites, Cornell or not.  The first is not respected (see top law blog sites) and the second is a disgrace.

No doubt Brownie's good buddy Jeff Perry thinks Scotty's the cats nutz too...you ever going to name your "abuser" Scotty, or was boosting the book sales what that allegation was all about?

Scott Brown's office is the WORST in providing constituent services.  I've contacted his office & it was like dealing with a bunch of kindergarteners.  He's incompetent.

You do realize that one of Senator Brown's first displays of being bi-partisan was to KEEP most of Kennedy's staff BECAUSE of their excellent constituent services?   Could they have had a bad day,  especially in the middle of a campaign, yes.  But thank you for bringing up yet another example of Senator Brown's bi-partisan promises kept.

Where is Marisa DeFranco watching the returns?   An honest person who got slammed by a rigged system.

Not true.  Her downfall was the Democratic State Convention this summer.  She was not on her game.  Her intro speaker and she herself were singularly unimpressive.  She has only herself to blame.

Talk about a rigged system, what about Ron Paul's delegates who were elected in Republican caucuses before the convention?
