Turnout in Boston exceeded 2008 presidential election

In close statewide elections like this year’s US Senate race, voter turnout in Boston, a Democratic stronghold, can be the difference. If Democrats run up the score in the city, it can offset Republican gains in the suburbs. But if Republican can blunt the Democrat’s advantage in Boston, it can pay statewide dividends.
