The long-awaited trial of James “Whitey” Bulger has been postponed again, until June 2013, following insistent complaints from his defense team that they need more time to prepare for the high-profile case.
The trial had been scheduled to begin in March. But US District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns said in a 13-page ruling Friday that he was balancing the need to promptly bring Bulger to trial with the defendant’s constitutional right to have enough time to prepare.

How many more INDULGENCES will this creep get?
He should get fair treatment by the courts and delays are fairly common on major crimes, sometimes for a couple of years.
Bulger is an accused murderer, but he was never a danger to ordinary people. All but may a couple of his victims were leading a life of crime themselves and were tempting fate. I find it difficult to work up a lot of sympathy.
It appears that the federal government is hoping Bulger dies in prison before he gets to trial. He must have some great stories to tell about the US Attorneys and the FBI.
