Woman assaulted in Beacon Hill

Police are searching for a man who broke into a Beacon Hill apartment early Saturday and then robbed and sexually assaulted the woman who lives there. Police said the man forced his way into the apartment, near Joy and Myrtle streets, just after 3 a.m. and showed the woman a weapon, possibly a knife. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Sexual Assault Unit at 617-343-4400, or provide a tip anonymously by calling 1-800-494-TIPS or texting ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
