Single-vehicle crash injures 2

A pickup truck slammed into a telephone pole in Sandwich Saturday night, leaving a man trapped in the vehicle for nearly three hours because of dangling wires, according to the Sandwich Fire Department. A second man in the truck, the driver, was rescued quickly.

Police said in a press release that a small pickup was traveling west on Main Street when it hit the pole, trapping the men in the vehicle. Police responded at 11 p.m. to the site in the area of 102 Main St.
