Woods Hole man, 22, killed in car crash

A motorist was killed early Sunday morning in a fiery crash in Falmouth despite witnesses’ attempts to save him, officials said. William W. Vose, 22, of the Woods Hole section of Falmouth, was driving his 1994 Acura Integra south on Woods Hole Road, when he lost control and was thrown from the vehicle, according to the Falmouth Police Department. When officers arrived on the scene at about 1:30 a.m., the car was fully engulfed in flames and Vose was lying in the roadway after being pulled away from the wreckage, said a police statement. Witnesses told police that the vehicle appeared to be traveling at a high speed. Vose was transported to Falmouth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
