The truth never dies

Louie Greco died in prison, an innocent man, because he punched Nicky Femia in the mouth.

Greco had warned Femia, a gangster and legbreaker, to stop loaning money to teenagers so they could run up gambling debts they had no way of paying. Femia ignored him. One day, after Greco saw Femia peeling off bills for some kid in East Boston who couldn’t rub two nickels together, Greco walked over and popped Femia in the mouth.

We can't prosecute and imprison people on reputations, but we surely don't need to do anything extra for them.

Dan Rea of WBZ did a superb job on this case of the innocent convicted killers years ago. The big diff was that the victims Rea dealt with were alive. No disrespect to the dead guys Cullen wants to help out.

Limone went on to head Boston organized crime, go figure.

Greco was in Florida at the time of the murder. He passed three lie detector tests and had statements exonerating him from the actual murderers. Even Barboza admitted he lied. He should have been pardoned when he was alive....Mike Dukakis' useless counsel let it sit on her desk for years. Now Diane Wilkerson sits in prison.
