Travel agency owner pleads guilty in scam

The owner of a travel agency in Boston’s Chinatown section pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges of fleecing immigrants of more than $89,000. May Woo Lei, 40, was released on personal recognizance following her arraignment on larceny charges in Suffolk Superior Court, Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office said. Woo allegedly bilked immigrants in schemes involving US citizenship applications and airline tickets. She is slated to return to court on Jan. 17.
