Wheaton rallies after anti-Semitic graffiti

Campus comes together to deal with message of hate

When Molly Tobin walked out of her on-campus residence at Wheaton College two weeks ago, she couldn’t believe her eyes: Splashed across the back door, in thick black marker, was graffiti spelling out hate for Jewish people.

Tobin, who lives in the school’s Jewish Life House, was shocked, angry, and terrified.

Thank you for running this story.  Since 9/11, many observers have feared attacks on Muslims in this country.  Some have occurred, regrettably, but attacks on Jews and Jewish institutions continue to be far more common in this country.  The situation is even worse in much of Europe where anti-semitic violence is common.
