Police are investigating the death of a 56-year-old hunter in Douglas, the office of District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said. Other hunters called police when they found the body, which had a gunshot wound, in the woods off West Street at about 10:30 a.m. Monday, Early’s office said in a statement. An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death and State Police are aiding in the investigation, the statement said. No further details were immediately available.
