Convicted sex offender arraigned in Nov. 10 rape on Beacon Hill

A Suffolk prosecutor said Wednesday that a Level 3 sex offender and convicted rapist raped a woman in her Beacon Hill home, tied her to a kitchen cabinet, and threatened to kill her if she did not provide him with valuables and the PIN for her bank card.

Anthony G. Williams was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court, where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf on charges of aggravated rape, kidnapping, armed burglary, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and armed assault in a dwelling stemming from the Nov. 10 attack that led Boston police to step up patrols in a neighborhood unaccustomed to violence.
