US Senator Scott Brown is angering some conservative activists by trying to shape the new leadership of the Massachusetts Republican Party just weeks after losing a reelection campaign in which he tried to distance himself from the GOP.
Brown, who is keeping options open for his political future, wants his campaign’s deputy finance director, Kirsten Hughes, elected chairwoman of the Republican State Committee next month. He sent state committee members a letter endorsing her Friday, two days after current chairman Robert A. Maginn Jr. bowed out of contention for another term.

It's unclear to me why they woud want to be led by someone who couldn't even protect his own seat as an incumbent. One thin politicians and voters understand well is that the only unforgivable thing in voters eyes a hack like brown can do is to lose an election.
Brown is such a "peoples candidate" that he just cant stand the idea of not being in a position of power.
For a Tea Party favorite who pretended to be such an independent, Brown shows his true colors as an Establishment garden-variety politico
Massachusetts lost a good man when he lost the senate race. I hope that he keeps his options open and with his 'for the good of the country' attitude he would anger some of the conservative faction who can't see the forest through the trees i.e. we the people want this country to move ahead, not have them playing party politics.

So, various people are lining up to become the Head Dinosaur? Well, good luck to them with that pipe dream. It's always a treat to watch this crowd fight among themselves for the crumbs from the Massachusetts electorate table.
