Dwayne Moore jury deliberations suspended

Jury deliberations have been suspended for the day in the quadruple murder trial of Dwayne Moore in Suffolk Superior Court because a juror reported that he was too sick to deliberate.

The juror called in sick at 7 a.m. The jury, which has been bused in from Worcester because the defense argued that a Boston jury would not be impartial, never made the trip from Worcester.

Moore, 35, is being tried for a second time in the Sept. 28, 2010 slayings of four people, including a mother with her 2-year-old child, on a Mattapan street. A fifth person was shot in the head and is now paralyzed.

A previous trial against Moore resulted in the acquittal of Moore’s co-defendant and a hung jury in the case of Moore in March.
