Patrick says report wrong that he recommended Ortiz

Governor Deval Patrick strongly denied Friday that he had discussed a potential gubernatorial candidacy by US Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz with the leaders of the House and Senate in a private conversation at the State House.

Responding to questions about a report in the Globe, Patrick told State House News Service that the newspaper was inaccurate in reporting that he raised Ortiz’s name as a candidate for governor in 2014 during his meeting with Senate President Therese Murray and House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo.

who can the governor blame here, always looking for a scape goat, that's right, he blames the globe. I have never seen a man that can never own up to anything......

Mr. Phillips: Better double check with your "unnamed source" who gave you this tip in the first place...looks like someone is lying here...either the Globe, the Governor or your source...problem is, when the Globe prints untrue allegations as fact the damage is already done...but there is never an apology. Is this just part of the Globe's on-going campaign to destroy the Lt. Gov. by connecting him to every story possible?
