A 78-year-old Milton woman was struck and killed by a car while trying to cross a street in Milton on Friday evening, according to Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office. The woman, who was wearing a dark coat, was trying to cross Highland Street at about 4:50 p.m., said David Traub, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office. “The person driving the car quickly pulled over and Milton police responded quickly,” said Traub. The woman was transported to Milton Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Traub would not identity the victim or the driver, but said no charges had been filed. The accident is under investigation by the district attorney’s office and Milton and State police.
