Bird sightings

Recent bird sightings as reported to the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

The Northern lapwing that frequented a cornfield on Summer Street near the Bridgewater Correctional Complex was still present Friday, and on Nantucket, two lapwings continued to be seen along the shore of Hummock Pond. Other sightings at Nantucket last week included four Eurasian wigeons, 21 harlequin ducks, 335 ruddy ducks, and a common gallinule.
