Boston school police arrested a 16-year-old boy Monday morning at Jeremiah E. Burke High School on charges of possession of an unloaded handgun and ammunition, said Boston police spokeswoman Cheryl Fiandaca.

The teenager was arrested shortly before 9 a.m. at the school, located at 60 Washington St., Dorchester, police said.
