The Providence Housing Authority has selected a new board chairman. The Providence Journal reported that commissioner Nicolas Retsinas will assume the post next month. He teaches courses in housing finance and real estate at Harvard Business School and is director emeritus of the university’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. He worked previously as assistant secretary for the housing commissioner at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. The current board chairman, Thomas Ryan, will become the vice chairman.
