Santa’s sleigh has been stolen. The Hartford Courant reported that Glastonbury police said a thief stole the red wooden sleigh Saturday containing display gifts from Emmy Lou’s Ltd. gift shop. A vehicle was driven onto the sidewalk from the rear of the building to cart away the sleigh. The sleigh had been a fixture at holiday time for years. The shop is in the onetime home of Gideon Welles, President Lincoln’s Navy secretary.
