Bill has penalty for nations that bar deportation

WASHINGTON -- Democrat and Republican lawmakers in Congress are calling for federal legislation that would compel the US State Department to play “hardball” and deny diplomatic visas to nations that block deportation of thousands of foreign criminals, many of whom are released to US streets instead.

Representative Ted Poe, a Republican from Texas, said members of both parties are dispatching staff to a meeting Friday to try to advance legislation he filed last year requiring the State Department to sanction more than 20 countries that routinely stall deportations of their citizens.

So the Boston Globe's report exposed this. But how can this be. All the real Americans I know have been weeping into their keyboards for years about the Lamestream Media. I think the Socialist leaning Globe stole the glory here. This had to have been investigated by one of the hotties on Fox - or at least by one of their side-kick quasi-males. I smell a rat. But let's change the subject. War on Christmas anyone?

The Globe's expose was good. Unfortunately it inspired some small-minded Congressmen to pander to the public with simplistic and possibly harmful interference with the nation's foreign relations. Complex issues can't be intelligently handled by "sound-bite" legislation.
