Westminster Police are looking for information about a car that was involved in an accident Wednesday afternoon that left a 27-year-old woman dead and her 9-year-old daughter hospitalized, according to a statement from the office of Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. Elisabeth M. Estrada-Turner, of Gardner, died after the car she was driving collided head-on with a pickup truck on Route 140 near Betty Spring Road in Westminster. According to the statement, a witness saw a small passenger car enter from Betty Spring Road and cross into Estrada-Turner’s travel lane. Estrada-Turner apparently swerved to avoid impact and lost control of her car, according to the statement, colliding head-on with a Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Frank Rosa of Jamestown, R.I. Rosa and his 18-year-old son were treated and released from Henry Heywood Hospital in Gardner. Estrada-Turner’s daughter was taken to University of Massachusetts-Memorial Hospital in Worcester, where she remains, according to the release.
