A former Subway restaurant worker in Darien has been sentenced to serve one year in prison for filming patrons with a video camera he hid under a bathroom sink. The Stamford Advocate reported that Marco Dias of Bridgeport was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison, with one to serve, after he pleaded guilty to voyeurism. Dias, 22, was arrested in August after an armored truck driver who visited the restaurant noticed the camera wrapped around a drain pipe in the unisex bathroom. Police later found video of Dias setting up the camera, as well as of two men and a woman using the toilet. Investigators also learned Dias had been in the country illegally. The judge told Dias on Wednesday that if he pleaded guilty, he might be deported.
