Ex-Children’s Hospital doctor arraigned on child porn charges

The former medical director at Phillips Academy in Andover pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday on charges of possessing and receiving child pornography. Richard Keller was a former medical director at the prep school who also worked at Boston Children’s Hospital and taught at Harvard Medical School. He resigned in 2011 and was later arrested on charges of receiving pornography while he was at the school. The 56-year-old faces up to 20 years in prison, and the charges carry a mandatory sentence of at least five years in prison. An indictment unsealed in federal court last week alleged that Keller possessed videos of minors engaging in sexual activity.
