Maine tot recovering after dog attack

The grandmother of an 18-month-old boy who was attacked by the family dog in their Livermore Falls home last weekend said the child is recovering well. Destiny Enman told the Sun Journal that her grandson was bitten on the top of his head and on his forehead by the dog, an American bulldog and husky mix. Enman was also bitten as she rushed to help the boy. The child and the grandmother were taken to a hospital in Lewiston, where they were treated and released. The animal was euthanized, and tests showed it did not have rabies. Enman said she did not know why the dog attacked.
