Mass. braces for third Senate race in four years

To some voters, it feels as if it were just yesterday that canvassers were knocking, ad wars were raging, and campaigns were calling and calling.

“It was just awful; I would get two, three, four from each campaign, every day,” recalled Sharon McMillen, an independent from Mansfield, as she waited in South Station Friday afternoon.

The robot calls, the constant tv ads..it never ends in MA.

What a great idea. The voters of Massachusetts just rejected Scott Brown's candidancy but let's ignore the electoral process and keep him in office UNELECTED. He can continue to vote against women having access to birth control. He can continue to change his mind about weapons. He can continue to vote against family health plans as he continues to take advantage of one for his own children. He can continue a facade of bipartinsanship that is easily pierced. He can continue to uphold outdated ideas on immigration that the Republican Party is scrambling to flip flop on, now that the changing demographics of the US have finally been made clear to them.

We just rejected him and someone has the bizarre idea he should be allowed to continue to serve without voter approval??? WE JUST VOTED HIM OUT. Let him run again and when he loses again, maybe he and his supporters will have to stop the pretense that he is anything but extremely extremely lucky.

This state is ridiculous. So many states now are 1 party control & this paper is are advocating for bipartisanship when the GOP policies are so Far right wing. I would like to know who they think is going to be around to vote in an election in June. Most people are getting ready to go on vacation etc. Forget it. I give up.   I don't know if I will even bother to give any candidate any money again or even bother voting. We go out & work hard to get a Democratic Senator in against Brown & then they throw a seat away. I'm beginning to think just forget the whole bunch of them if they don't care why should we.   I guess they don't have the courage to try to hang on to a Democratic seat & change the law like 35 other states do. Do they think any of the Red states would give away a seat like this. I'm so disgusted with both of them.   Also to do that to susan rice is disgraceful when she did nothing but go public with the CIA talking points which is proper protcol in D.C.  Then they blame her & Senators threaen to block her & Obama folds.  Then I think of the voter suppression  against black vvoters in Southern States & the blacks that stood in line 8 or 9 hours to vote for Obama & he won' fight for a very talented knowleageble Black woman for SOS & picks an old white guy.  What mjst they  be thinkng.  And what does the Globe think of supporting Brown who is running as member of that Party.   It is very disgusting when MA used to be in the forfront of Civil Rights for all people.  What happened to that when you support a member of the Republican Party ?

Let me fix this: This state is ridiculous. So many states now are 1 party control & this paper is are advocating for bipartisanship when the DEM policies are so Far left wing. I would like to know who they think is going to be around to vote in an election in June. Most state workers and union members who get pay raises and have guaranteed pensions are getting ready to go on vacation etc. Forget it. I give up. I don't know if I will even bother to give any candidate any money again or even bother voting. We go out & work hard to get a Democratic Senator in against Brown & then they throw a seat away. I'm beginning to think just forget the whole bunch of them if they don't care why should we. I guess they don't have the audacity to try to hang on to a Democratic seat & change the law back like they did to prevent Mitt Romney from appointing a Republican senator in 2004 like 35 other states do. Do they think any of the Red states would give away a seat like this. I'm so disgusted with both of them. Also to do that to susan rice is disgraceful when she did nothing but tell a bunch of lies that the administration gave her that ignored a terrorist attack that killed US citizens on foreign soil in return for an appointment to SoS which is proper protcol in D.C. Then they blame her & Senators threaen to block her & Obama folds. Then I think of the voter suppression against black vvoters in Southern States -- how dare anyone ask for an ID when you need one to get on an airplane or check into a hotel or drive a car & the blacks that stood in line 8 or 9 hours to vote for Obama & he won' fight for a very talented knowleageble Black woman who most people agree has been ineffective at the UN letting countries like Libya get elected to the Human Rights Council and skipping important Security Council sessions on Israel, for SOS. What mjst they be thinkng. And what does the Globe think of supporting Brown who is running as member of that Party. It is very disgusting when MA used to be in the forfront of Civil Rights for all people. What happened to that when you support a member of the Republican Party ?

These people are absurd and almost childish.   They are indeed blessed if getting hit with some campaign ads and calls is the worst thing that ever happens to them.  How do they ever contend with all the ads for erictile disfunction, constipation and active bladder, or the 5 or 6 telephone solicitations for countless non-profits that come into this house every day.  The fact is that too many Americans have become consumers first with citizenship way down the line.

And save me from many so-called independents who constantly complain about the quality of the two party candidates, but never lift a finger to contribute to the recruitment of good candidates or to elevate a reform agenda for the state or nation.   Pathetic

Hey, I can't complain about beating Scott Brown again.  Even if he wins the special, he'll lose the general, especially because control of the senate could literally fall on this seat.
