The 113th Congress convenes on Thursday, and the most prominent change for the Massachusetts delegation is that Democrat Elizabeth Warren will replace Republican Scott Brown in the US Senate.
But the other change is no small one, either, as Joseph P. Kennedy III assumes the Fourth Congressional District seat being vacated by Representative Barney Frank.

Just a small correction: Kennedy is into his fourth decade, not third.
Joe....what is a "real shot"...what does that mean....and name me one person in this country who does not get a "real shot"....whatever that is. More doublespeak.
... it means, having a huge financial advantage over your opponent, and not needing to form or express political opinions, knowing the lemmings will line up to vote for you because of your name.
An unbiased, and unabashed Kennedy fan my whole life, I somehow know that this highly intelligent Joe Kennedy the Third, will amaze us all.
And as I see below, the Kennedy bashers are already in place, ready to bash once again.
It's not bashing a Kennedy really, it's voters who don't expect them to work themselves up through state offices first before heading off to Washington. Meanwhile Democrats kick candidates to the curb who have proven themselves in Warren's Senate campaign and now it looks like Kerry and Vickie Kennedy's corronation of Markey. And finally when the Dems had a great female candidate in Marissa Defranco they toss her aside. I don't agree with all her politics, but she was an honest smart candidate who deserved a level playing field.
Oh lawdie... Johnson is at his psychobabble again... How come JPK-3 didn't offer anything on the Fiscal Cliff or the coming congressional battle ove debt ceilings? AFter all, he may be a novice, but he is still supposed to have a view or two on contemporary issues. But heck, Johnson wouldn't want to put JPK-3 on too much of a spot lest the solon-elect betray some sort of ignorance of a real issue. Just get all those family names and the fact that elective office is a Kennedy "family business" into the glorious puff piece. Nice, though, that Glennie genuflected in adoration of Granny Warren being the supremer Taxashoots new rep in the Congress. (the Senate is a House of the Congress, the upper house).
I just can't figure out why many, many Conservatives are are such virulent gas-bags, or why their Party is disintegrating. Anyone?

do you really think if his name was Joseph Smith III he would have been elected and then of course the hollywood crowd donated to his campaign millions....yeah right he really understands the working people, especially when you have millions in trust funds to fall back on.
I always said if the devil was on the democrat ticket and Jesus was on the republican ticket the dummies would still vote democrat.
