Twenty vehicles crashed in a chain-reaction accident early Saturday afternoon during heavy snowfall on Interstate 93 near Exit 22, authorities in New Hampshire said. The pileup hurt five people, but none of the injuries were life-threatening, said New Hampshire Department of Transportation spokesman Bill Boynton. Twelve vehicles were part of the initial crash, then four more vehicles became involved. Boynton said an additional four vehicles veered off the road to avoid the pileup. The accident forced the temporary closing of I-93.
