State trooper injured when cruiser slams into utility pole in West Bridgewater


A State Police sergeant was involved in a one-car crash this morning in West Bridgewater.

State Police said the trooper, who was not identified, was driving on South Main Street or Route 28 at about 6:50 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility police.

The sergeant was transported to Brockton’s Signature Healthcare hospital for what State Police said were minor injuries. He was later released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
