Driver, 84, succumbs after car crash

An 84-year-old Maynard man died Wednesday after the car he was driving veered off the road and into a snowbank in Concord, police said. Officers found Peter Porrazzo unconscious in his car at 9:56 a.m. in the area of 2194 Main St., Concord police said. The car was running, and the doors were locked, police said. Porrazzo was taken to Emerson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. There were no other cars involved in the accident, according to dispatcher Anthony Marabella. The cause of the accident was not immediately available.
