No decision yet on Cahill retrial

Attorney General Martha Coakley has not yet decided whether to retry former state treasurer Timothy P. Cahill on corruption charges, a Coakley spokeswoman said Friday. Coakley and Cahill’s attorneys, Jeffrey Denner and Brad Bailey, have been negotiating a civil resolution to the unprecedented criminal case that ended in a deadlocked jury last month. A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 25 in Suffolk Superior Court.
