Police are investigating a shooting on Washington Street Thursday night. Officers responded at 8:55 p.m. to reports of possible gunshots at 197 Washington St. and found a man with a gunshot wound to his thigh, police said. The man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, police said. The shooting did not appear to be random, according to police.
