Becky Southworth has a full-time job as a high school tutor. But the 37-year-old Malden resident said that her part-time job waiting tables at the Harp in the North End of Boston is the one that “pays the bills.”
“Or used to,” she added, referring to the crowds who normally flock to the pub before and after Boston Bruins hockey games held in the arena across Causeway Street. “Hopefully, it will again soon.”

This is the group that was hardest hit by the lockout. The local businesses. A shortened season is better than no season in every way.
By all means , go to the games , get a beer and a pizza at a restaurant nearby - or a steak dinner ... whatever - just do NOT buy a thing inside the Garden ... do not support JJ in any way shape or form .. the guy does not give a hoot about hockey fans . or the game of hockey for that matter - this is all dollars and cents .. no more / no less. I really wish this guy would just go away ... sell the team ... and bring in an ownership group that actually desereves the Boston hockey sporst fan . This group doesn;t .
I feel bad for the local business. Unfortunatley they won't be seeing any of my business as I won't be going to any Bruins games this year.
