The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting a comprehensive review of the design, manufacture and assembly of the Boeing 787, scrutinizing the electrical system just four days after a fire broke out in one of the high-tech Dreamliners parked at Logan International Airport in Boston.
“We’re focusing on the electrical systems as the highest level of priority,” FAA Administrator Michael Huerta said this morning at a news conference. The review will also look at the interaction between the electrical and mechanical systems on the plane.
