A 5-year-old girl was treated at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Thursday evening after her 9-year-old brother accidentally shot her in the face with a BB gun, Boston police spokesman David Estrada said. The girl, who was apparently struck in the nose and cheek, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, Estrada said. The shooting occurred just before 5:30 p.m. in the basement of a home on Kirkwood Road in Brighton and involved a BB gun owned by the children’s father, Estrada said.
