Warm today, but temperatures will fall and snow is expected during Wednesday morning commute

Get ready for a sloppy commute Wednesday morning, thanks to snow beginning just after 2 a.m. and continuing through 10 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service said today.

One to 2 inches of snow will fall in Boston, and areas north and west of the city will see 2 to 4 inches, said meteorologist Kim Buttrick. Isolated parts of northern Worcester County and northwest Middlesex County could see 5 inches of snow.
