A Plymouth Superior Court judge denied Tuesday a Scituate family’s request to shut down the town’s industrial wind turbine until further notice. In a two-page memo, Justice Charles Hely said the McKeever family’s request for an injunction did not support its “claim that the wind turbine is a public health nuisance that must be immediately shut down.” The McKeevers have been pressing to halt the turbine, located 650 feet from their home, since meeting with Scituate Board of Health officials in October, saying that noise and shadow flicker from the machine has caused many health problems.
