Cape Cod and South Shore to be brushed by storm tonight

A storm could dump 1 to 2 inches of snow on Cape Cod and the South Shore overnight tonight, after the area escaped Wednesday’s snow event, the National Weather Service said.

While Boston and its suburbs will get only a dusting, southeastern Massachusetts will feel the effects of a storm sliding up the coast, said meteorologist Bill Simpson.
