Senator Elizabeth Warren joined Mayor Thomas M. Menino on Friday to press for stricter gun control and throw her support behind three Senate bills that are expected to be filed next week in the wake of the massacre in Newtown, Conn.
“We owe it to our children to start,” Warren said at a news conference at the Parkman House, the city-owned Beacon Hill residence where Menino is convalescing after a lengthy illness.

But why did Ted Kennedy oppose them? Don't expect the talking heads to answer that question.

In case Llesvals hasn't noticed (or because the Globe is completely SILENT on this issue), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) has no intention of bringing up gun control legislation for a vote. And Senate Republicans are noting that Reid isn't even allowing debate on the issue. The WSJ in todays editorial page has reported on Harry's Senate tactics.
What about your bow and arrows lizzie?

Ha, good one, naps are good.
ummmmm. 8 children killed per day X 365 days comes out to be about 2900--less than half the 6000 cited by proponents Warren and Menino as a backup to their justification of the need for additional gun controls. With this kind of "math", why wonder about our grisly financial situation? Or was it's purpose to gin up support for a position that couldn't stand on its own? Why, it's outright disarming.

And Elizabeth Warren, suddenly speaking to the press for the first time also mentioned Deval's new tax increases. Warren said "The Middle Class is getting HAMMERED!"
