Affirmative action at BU.
Skin color? Kind of part of the basic description.
Remember, this is the Globe.
Globe only reports race when the victim is black. students do know to avoid perpetrators since they do not know the race to look out for. This is to avoid charges of profiling if blacks attack whites including rapes. If its the reverse situation then the races are reported so profiling can be the headline. The deck is stacked and biased by the media.
rsox2007 - I agree that the globe and media in general are biased regarding reporting the perpetrator's race. But if the perp is black it's never reported due to the riduculous ubiquitous 'polically incorrect' concept. If they dutifully reported accurate descriptions of perpetrators committing crimes against B.U. students, everyone would see how helpful 'profiling' would be for the students walking around the area at night. That is because it would be SO g/d obvious whom to be wary of - The Globe and local mainstream media are just too entrenched in current political correctness to say it.
